Sound Walls integrate with traffic barriers on I-95 bridge The Piscataqua River Bridge is a 40-year-old structure connecting Portsmouth, NH and Kittery, ME with six lanes of traffic along the Interstate 95 — the busiest roadway between the two states. The New Hampshire Department of Transportation needed a lightweight, durable sound barrier mounted mounted to cast-in-place traffic barriers on one side of the bridge.

Full-height panels and Big R Bridge meet in Denver interchange Vist-A-Wall Systems was recently involved in a direct ramp project from US 85 to C470 south of Denver. The project used special full-height precast panels and a Big R Pedestrian Bridge.

Vist-A-Walls support major Jacksonville design-build project On the west side of Jacksonville, the I-295 Loop crosses the infamous Blanding Boulevard, voted the worst intersection in Northeast Florida (83,000 cars per day) by local newspaper readers. A 4.3-mile widening of the I-295 with collector-distributor roads diverting traffic to a new interchange at nearby Collins Road is expected to assist with relieving the traffic congestion at the I-295 at Blanding Boulevard interchange.

US 190 mural wall honors Fort Hood soldiers As part of major upgrades to US 190 near Killeen, TX, Vist-A-Wall Systems was contracted to design and supply a set of abutment walls for an overpass. The precast concrete mural walls feature images of soldiers, helicopters, tanks and other military vehicles in tribute to the soldiers who serve at nearby Fort Hood.

11 walls angle and turn in second phase of Florida project Immediately adjacent to the 17-wall SR429/SR414 Interchange Project we reported on in the last issue of Profiles, we are now working on 11 more walls (178,790 SF panel area) in the next project phase known as the SR429/SR414 Maitland Extension.
